Three years ago, when I miscarried, I felt everything I was taught to feel and everything I wasn’t supposed to.

Shame. Detachment. Failure.

I honestly would have so embarrassed and shameful I would have never been open enough to post about it on social.

I thought my body had betrayed me but worse, I felt my emotions were inconvenient.

So I did what women are taught to do. I pushed down my feelings, made them “logical” and kept moving, kept producing, kept pretending I was fine.

Because if I didn’t hold it all together… who would?

That’s how I abandoned myself.

But this time… it’s different.

I’m going through miscarriage again. Don’t get me wrong it’s still hard and still painful but the key is I didn’t armor up.
I dropped the performance.

I trusted my body.
Trusted my spirit.
Let my emotions move through instead of managing them.
I ran baths instead of errands.
I let presence replace productivity.

My nervous system was in a place to safely process.

And everything around me shifted to meet that.

My husband (who’s grieving too) stepped forward without me saying a word.
Meals appeared.
The house stayed calm.
My daughter’s laughter filled the space where guilt used to live.

Even the air feels different like the universe is holding me because I finally let it.

That’s what sacred sensuality did. What embodiment work is:
Not pretending.
Not performing.
Not “staying positive.”

It’s dropping the armor and trusting your body so deeply that even in loss, you let her lead.
